Why do people post ridiculous things in the internet that are of no use, yet get more likes than creative and useful things on the internet!?

Most of the people look for entertainment. The best example is Sushant singh Rajput’s case. People would watch what’s happening with Rhea and know everything that’s happening with that case rather than the actual useful news and also the updates on the pandemic. Farmers were protesting for their rights. But, all people cared about was Bollywood drama.
