because it absorbs all our sweat and heat coming from sun.........and lower the temperature.......so that's why we feel cool in that clothes and we are much more comfortable...........so people prefer to wear white or light coloured clothes

White and light colored clothes do not trap the sunlight and hence keep the body cool. They reflect the sunlight and absorb less heat and in contradiction dark colored clothes are preferred in winter.
