why do people wait at platform?
Answers
Answer:
basically for a train
Explanation:
They target a specific door on the train and mindlessly follow it. They fear that they might miss the door that they targeted, and hence the whole train, because they forget that there is more train coming from behind (tunnel vision/thinking). Of course, they could just look back and *see* that there is more train coming from behind and that they can always catch a door behind, but that would require *thinking* and *judgment*, which the passengers are averse to as long as they can get away with this (only the train moving so fast that the passenger is alerted to the possibility of actually missing it might be forced to undertake this thinking).

Two different prepositions are used because my position, and the train's position, relative to the platform are different.
