Scientists want to research about stars and galaxies cause the planet in which we live now is slowly getting destroyed cause of global warming.
If this continues, there would be no human life on earth. So to stop this, people are keen to know about those so that there would be any possibilities that humans can live on earth.

So dear....none of the scientists are researching to cross humans to distant galaxy. Size of our galaxy is 10^21m. . Velocity of light is 299792458m/s ie of the order 10^8. So time taken to cross the galaxy with the speed of light is of the order 10^13s. Average human span is only 10^ 9 s. Then how can you expect scientists to send the people to distant galaxies??
It is not to reduce global warming too. Cause global warming is created by humans. It will be only seen on earth and no where else. So we won't get a solution for global warming by studying the distant stars and planets.
The one and only reason why scientists are crazy about the study of galaxies is to know about the parallel universes. It is said that space is like an ocean and our galaxy - milky way is kinda like a drop in it. There will be billions like us or more advanced that us. Scientists often get signals from outer space . To find an answer to all these studies regarding the outer space is inevitable
This will bring an answer to the life on earth and all.
