Store food: The plants cannot move like the animals from one place to the other one in order to find and search the food. so the presence of large sized vacuole will help them to store the food that can be used in the harsh times.
Turgidity: The presence of the bigger vacuole helps the plants to maintain the turgidity which is very important for their survival.
