Hi friends,

The reason why plant cells can cope with tough changing surroundings as compared to the animal cells is the presence of a cell wall.

A cell wall gives support and stability to a plant. It protects the plant from wearing off and helps it to grow up and about. It holds the organelles inside the cell intact and prohibits bursting.

A cell was is absent in an animal cell due to which it is hard for them to withstand the changing surrounding.

Thanks for the question

Answer:

Hello friends

Explanation:

Cell walls permit the cell of plants to withstand very dilute(hypotonic) external media without brushing. In such media the cells tend to take up water my osmosis. The cell swells, build up pressure against cell wall. The wall exerts an equal pressure against the swollen and cell. Because of their cell walls, such cells can withstand much greater changes in the surrounding medium than animal cell since animal cells do not have cell wall.
