Plants consist of living as well as dead tissues. ... Hence, they contain living tissues in order to provide energy for movement. Also, both animals and plants perform different function. So, to suit to the varied functions, they are made up of different kinds of tissues.

There are many reasons why plants and animal tissues are different , some of them are -

1) plants are autotrophic whereas animals are heterotrophic.

2) plants require Les energy than animals as plants are stationary whereas animals have to move from place to place in search of food and water.

3)Plants and animals have different strategies for consumption of sustenance so they require different tissues to do different things. For example, the cells of plants have chloroplasts for photosynthesis and the cells of animals don't. They play different roles in nature so have different tissues.
