why do plants and animals have different types of 'tissues'​

Because plants and animals have different structures and designs .

They have to carry out different functions as well.

For eg plants need to absorb water thus they have xylem tissue which is absent in animals.

plants have stationery thus their supportive tissue is is made up of dead cells. Animals move, hence they possess living cells to provide energy for movement.
