Plants need carbon dioxide to get the energy out of the food they make. This is possible with Stomata.
They don't have lungs to breathe and therefore they don't need a respiratory system. They have stomata.

Plants do not need a respiratory system as all its parts exchange gases separately.
- Plants do not require a respiratory system because the parts of plants such as stems, leaves, roots etc exchange gases independently for respiration.
- They have no lungs or a specialised organ to breathe, as the rate of respiration is lower when compared to animals, thus they don't need respiratory system.
- Nevertheless, they have stomata and lenticels responsible for the process.
