Why do plants shed their leaves short and for kids?

Like us, plants also produce waste which is not required by their body. So they transfer all that waste material into some old leaves and shed them to get rid of the waste material.

The plants shed their leaves due to the process of ageing as the leaf gets old it cant prepare its food . So it sheds .
