Answer:
People who haven’t play competitive football don’t even realize the amount of adrenaline that flows through player’s brain during a match.
When i played in an amateur college league i would become an aggressive animal while i’m a very calm person most of the time. This was only a college league where stakes are as low as they can get.
Imagine what goes inside top level footballers in pro league matches where the stakes are so high and so many eyes are on them. The adrenaline levels are insane. That means that the layers are emotionally super-charged and can easily overreact to any external trigger, like being subbed.
This is why some players react in a way that seems unprofessional.
