The life of the poor people is already in distress.They dont have enough money to have maintain their basic needs i.e house clothes and food.They are already drowning in debts and dont need any more reasons to add into that.
During thier struggle to live illness is a great cause of anxiety and distress because they dont have money to spare.The medicines and hospital facilities are not cheap. they are already in loss and cant afford medicinal help resulting in the death of their family member.
This is why illness in the family is a cause of anxiety and depression within the lives of poor people.
