Why do purines bond with pyrimidines in the dna ladder?

Hello!

Purines must bind with pyrimidines in order to maintain regular structure of DNA ladder or DNA helical structure.

In order to make DNA molecules pyrimidines must bind with purines.

This is the reason why DNA is more stable than RNA.
