Why do red blood cells swell and burst when placed in a hypotonic solution as water, and why don't humans burst when swimming in water?

hypotonic is a condition in which solute concentration is more in solvent rather than in RBC in such conditions flow of that solution in RBC causes it to burst..
but in case of when human is swimming there are tight junctions between cells which does not allow water to get inside the body..hence there will be no noticeable change in this condition...
