Why do rivers in the Indian Desert not reach the sea?

Most Indian rivers flow into the Bay of Bengal or the Arabian Sea but not this mysterious, saline river Luni. The little-known Luni is one of the few west-flowing rivers going towards the mostly desert land of western Rajasthan.
