As the wind blows up the beach it will transport material. Larger pieces of sediment will rest against an obstacle forming a ridge while smaller particles will settle on the other side of it. On the side facing the wind, the material begins to reach a crest.

sand dunes change their location because of the wind blowing in the desert. Desert sand is waste sand that's why it doesn't contain any minerals or any thing else which a sand contain that's why it becomes lighter than other sands that is the reason why sand dunes move from one place to other. when they move from one place to other there size and shape change
