why do seeds need wet soil to germinate and grow into a big tree explain it please tell a little answer as it is for a project

seeds require water from soil so when they are in wet soil it is easier for them to absorb water through osmosis.

hope it helps u, but some seeds like those of Jowar ,Bajra don't need wet soil as their water requirement is lesser that that of rice whose is the most

For the growth of seeds into plants,water is needed.Water is very essential for seeds/plants to grow. Plants make their own food in the process of photosynthesis. Photosynthesis requires carbon dioxide, water, sunlight and chlorophyll.
