Seeds sown very deep fails to germinate because –

Answer:

The seeds sown very deep inside the soil fail to germinate because:

(i) No proper supply of oxygen (for respiration)

(ii) Insufficient pushing force in the embryonic parts (hypocotyl or epicotyl) to break through the upper layers of soil

Hope it Helps !!!!
