Silver turns black when exposed in atmosphere is due to the reaction of silver with hydrogen sulphide present in atmosphere. the chemical reaction is. 2Ag(s) +H2s(g)=Ag2 (s) +H2(g). Copper turns green in colour when it comes in contact with moist air the green substance is known as copper carbonate.the reaction is. 2Cu+co2+o2 +H2O=Cuco3.cu(OH)2. are both the examples of corrosion of metal
