Silver turns black because it slowly reacts with the hydrogen sulphide present in the air and thus it gets corroded and turns black due to the formation of silver sulphide.
And talking my about copper
Copper reacts with the carbon dioxide and water as moisture along with the oxygen and gets corroded to form Basic Copper Carbonate which is green in colour which has Copper Hydroxide along with Copper Carbonate.
