Why do skiers not sink in the fresh snow? explain

$\green\hookrightarrow$ The skiers use flat and long skies to slide on the snow, because larger the area of cross-section, the lesser is the pressure on the snow. Hence, a skier can easily slide on the snow without sinking his feet in it.
