Snakes have poison in the mouth due to fangs.
- Snakes share usually the ability to imbue or immunize, using adjusted teeth known as fangs, which are sharp and release venom by oral organs.
- Snakes, such as vipers and rattlers have toxins containing proteins that can upset the coagulation course, the hemostatic framework, and tissue uprightness.
- Venom develops to kill or stifle the prey, just as to perform other eating related functions.

Snakes have structures called fangs in the mouth. These fangs contain poison because of two reasons:
1. Self-defence- Nature has equipped snakes with poison contained in tube-like structures called fangs. Whenever the snake feels threatened, it inserts the fangs into the enemy’s tissues and releases poison into its body. The poison or venom is a mixture of chemicals that either paralyses or kills the enemy. In both cases, it gives the snake an opportunity to escape.
2. Feeding- Snakes use their fangs to get control over their prey. The toxins in the venom slows down the prey, or kills it. Thus, the fangs help the snake in getting food.
