Why do so many families of farmers cultivated such small plots of land

because they are poor and they didnt have enough land to cultivate or they do not hve sufficient money to cultivate their land and no any money lender allowed to give them money thats only many families of farmers cultivate small plots of land

Reason is becoz the land under cultivation is almost  same till 1960 but there is population explosion ..the  person dependent on agriculture are also in a big size... poverty is the 2nd reason...that s why the size of plot is smaller....
