solids have regular shape or fixed shape because they are particles or molecules were closely packed and their very small small interparticle or intermolecular space

Answer:

Solids have a regular geometrical shape as molecules in a solid are closely packed and held by strong inter molecular forces of attraction. These molecules keep vibrating at fixed positions and cannot move from one place to another. Due to forces of attraction, the particles are present together and thus have a defined shape or volume. The solid can be broken by applying forces which makes them into pieces, however each of the broken pieces will still have a defined shape and volume.
