Answer: Enthalpy and Entropy , intermolecular forces of attraction
Explanation:
Due to closely packed atoms, it requires high amount of energy to be supplied to break the bonds and to change the state.
Hence the entropy is difficult to attain negative value as Gibbs free energy is positive indicating non spontaneity , thus the enthalpy is positive.
