Why do solids have higher melting and boiling point as compared to liquid and gaseous state?

it is because their inter molecular attraction is very strong which can not be break by simple boiling

In order to melt or boil the substance we need to provide energy to it well this energy is used to over come the strong intermolecular forces between the particles as solids have high inter molecular force of attraction it has high melting and boiling point as compared to liquids and other substance Hope this helped u ☺
