Answer:

solids are limited to surface area

and have a definite shape

liquids flow independently

and don't have definite shape accommodate the vessels shape entirely

gases are also independent will take the shape of vessel

Answer:

the main reason why solids and liquids differ is their arrangement(compact or loose)

Explanation:

solids have their molecules arranged in a very compact form with minimal inter molecular gaps. this rigid arrangement gives solid their resistivity and their hard nature.

on the other hand liquids have their molecular arrangement in a comparatively loose arrangement than that of solids. the molecules of liquids are loosely packed with greater inter molecular gaps.this allows the molecules to flow over each other. thus the liquids tend to flow.
