Why do some adults dismiss comics as unsuitable/inappropriate texts for the young children? Do you agree with them? Why /why not?

My explanation is that some comics contains some inappropriate scenes or maybe some inappropriate use of words, this may also affect the young children's perspective.

They claim the texts aren't real literature because they use slang,there are misspellings and that the picture are of questinable merit.No ,because according to Carol L.Tilley, a professor of liberary and information science at Illinois , comics are just as sophisticated as other forms of literature, and chidren benefit form reading them at least as much as they do form reading other types of books.
