some animals have an audible range below 20Hz and are able to listen infrasound. earthquake also produce infrasound, therefore such animals listen to these sounds and get disturbed.

some animals get disturbed before earthquake cause they can hear frequency below 20 Hertz which can't be heard easily by humans..
