why do some leaves contain yellow and red pigments?pls tell fast

Many leaves contain other pigments as well, and while these pigments can't photosynthesize as chlorophyll can, some of them are able to transfer the light energy they capture to the chlorophyll. ... When the green color of chlorophyll is gone, the other colors are unmasked

There are 2 types of chlorophyll

1. Yellow green

2. Blue green

Because of that pigment only we can see red colour, yellow colour leaves.

Even they prepare their own food and also perform photosynthesis.
