It's necessary to process some natural resources because they can't be used without processing. For example: We can't get oil without processing certain plants, etc. There are many other examples.

Some natural resources have to be processed because-

  • They are not ready for use in their raw state, some natural resources must be treated before being utilised.
  • If we use these resources in their basic or raw form, we may not be able to get the most out of them or may even waste some of them.
  • For instance, we cannot write directly on tree leaves or wood pulp; instead, these materials must be treated into paper before writing can be done.
  • Some resources in their raw form can also be harmful or toxic, which needs to be treated before use.
  • Substances like crude oil also need processing before we can get the petroleum, diesel or wax from it.
