Why do some of the continents look like they could fit together?

it is because millions of years ago when the earth was jst formed, all the landmass was only one giant piece . not divided like now. but afterwards strong earthquakes and volcanic eruptions caused the landmasses to break up into smaller pieces . so now it looks like they are able to fit like a jigsaw puzzle because once they were one piece only.
