Routine factory accidents are due to combination of factors, those vary with the set of circumstances. Some of them are:

  • Insecurely designed tools, working equipment, machines etc.
  • Improper lighting, beam, etc.
  • Throwing the materials unsafely on the floor.
  • Operating without proper instructions.
  • Lack of skills and knowledge of the work on the part of the employee.
  • Unsatisfactory behaviors of the supervisors.
  • Carelessly handling of toxic chemicals or inflammable materials such as explosives, oil, gasoline or grease etc.
  • In the factory, fire protection equipment or fire extinguishers have not properly installed.
  • Regular inspection of machines have not done from long time.
  • Lack of proper ventilation, impure air source.  

      To avoid the accidents in a factory, guidance and educational programmes should be held time to time. The machines should be well maintained. A safety committee should be developed to ensure the safety measures.
