The food that organisms eat differ from one organism to other. Due to the change in food and food habits digestive systems in organisms also differ to suit their lives.

Answer:Most probable reason would be due to evolutionary history.

Explanation: There can be many kinds of digestive system like ruminant, pseudo ruminant etc. As you know, ruminant digestive system is developed by many herbivores animals inorder to have a maximum food intake within a short time to escape from predators.

Carnivorous animals have smaller intestine because meat digests very fast. We, human have a well developed system because we are highly evolved species.

Many animals that belong to the phylum platyhelminthes have incomplete digestive system. Because they are first evolved species.

So it is clear that, our digestive system changes according to our appearance and yes, we can't stop evolution, right??
