because.... at earlier time girls are supposed to do work at home ... and they shouldn't go outside for any work, men are supposed to do work at outside work i.e business etc.. so by this now a days parents follow the earlier time tardition and they keep less concentration on girls education

Parents give less priority to girls in education as compared to boys because they believe that one day or the other they wil have to get their daughters married and after that their education would be of no use because in a typical Indian household, they will have to sit back at home and do the household work.
So spending money on girls would be waste because parents think that they won't be able to get any returns from them. So, they prefer to spend more on boys' education , who would bring back the money spent on them.
Another reason is that , from olden times itself the girls have always been kept under the boys and not allowed to come up in society. A girl becomes more qualified than the boys, then the less qualified boys would not marry them. And also because they don't want to give equal opportunities to girls.
Hope this will help you
