Well it depends on the person. Some people don't want a pet because they are allergic. Some don't want one because of money. It just depends.

Some people just don't like animals. Maybe they were bitten by a dog and have a fear of dogs. Which is why I never will have a dog. For me, all dogs scare me.

Some people also have a busy work life and can't give the best life and love to a pet. Some people just don't enjoy animals company and find it more stressful then relaxing.
