Some tributaries of Ganga like Kosi,ghagra and gandhak lead to flooding every year.

Because;

1) The main river (Ganga) of these tributaries is extremely fulfilled with continuous water flow.

2) The high amount of rainfall in these regions.

3) The banks of these tributaries are not so high to prevent high amount of flooding.

For these reasons the tributaries of Ganga face high amount of flooding in almost every year.
