south africa called them rainbow nation because it had both blacks indians and whites staying together and were unite in an nation and rainbow had diffrent colours in it so it is called as rainbow nation

South Africa call themselves as a Rainbow nation because people of many different cultures are found. People of British, Dutch, Native African, Swahili, etc. cultures are found here. Many Blacks are of tribal origin and Swahili culture.
