why do sponges and hydra not have blood

Sponges and hydra are very small organisms. These organisms don't need much energy for their daily processes. These organisms don't even need a partner to reproduce. These organisms have a very simple structure and the process of transfer of food in body isn't required.

Sponges and hydra are made up of cells only . They have
Very small no. of tissues in them. As we know that blood is a tissue, to have blood organism's body has to be differenciated upto tissue level.
