why do star twinkle​

The point source coming from the star which is refracted by the atmospheric refractive index .hence the apparent position is occur slightly up thats why stars twinkle

Hello☺️!

The main reason here is atmospheric refraction.The stars are very far to earth seen like small dots.the light of the star gets refracted through the atmospheric medium so as this occur refraction.
