Due to the scattering of light (coz light is passing through different medium) and twinkling of stars.

This is because of scintillation(twinkling) as the light passes through atmosphere of the earth. As the air moves in and out, the starlight is refracted,often diffrent colours in diffrent directions. Because of this ''chromatic abbreation'' stars appear to change colours when they twinkling strongly
