Why do stars twinkle?Eventhough the sun is a star, it does not twinkle.Why?

it is because planets are closer to earth than stars so the light coming through them to atmosphere does not bend much. Stars are very far and from far we can assume them as point source of light. So when their light travels towards earth they undergo multiple deviations and bends in the space and also in the earth's atmosphere. Due to this light's intensity becomes very low and our eyes capture these lights with low intensity and due low light intensity our eyes don't see stars clearly and so they appear to be twinkling in the sky
