why do stars twinkle ,I want the answer within 24 hours

That's because their light does not have to pass through our turbulent atmosphere and it reaches our eyes directly. On Earth, however, it zigs and zags through the atmosphere and reaches our eyes less directly, which is what causes twinkling, which is a small change in the position and brightness of a star.

We can see them twinkling because of changing refractive index of the atmospheric gases
