Why do stars twinkle?? plss answer fast

When starlight enters the atmosphere then refraction takes place many times due to the atmosphere. When the starlight enters the observer's eye, it's intensity keeps on changing due to varying refractive index of moving air. Star appears bright at a moment and appears dim in next moment. This causes twinkling.
