why do stars twinkle ? Stars look like twinkling but they just emit light and an enormous amount of it . The stars do under nuclear reaction and produce light heat and energy thus they happen to look like twinkling from afar but when starts are close they don't seem to he twinkling the sun in our solar system is a dwarf star .
