Well they twinkle because the different layers in the atmosphere phere have different density so the light keep changes it direction (if u know physics u know why ) so we think rhey are twinkling but they are not

the stars don't twinkle when the gases burn in the star they produce light
so,from far away we see that the stars start twinkle
