Why do students have difficulty to describe the concepts in social studies courses? They mostly use examples to clarify the concepts. Some of social studies teachers claims that the students don't read book enough, therefore they haven't extensive vocabulary, so the students try to explain the concepts by using examples related to topic. What do you think about that?

I think we should mostly read books but using examples is also good .
