The ants refused to offer grain and shelter to the grasshopper because for the entire summer, the ants worked hard to collect their food so as a payment for their hard work, they'll be able to have it all for themselves meanwhile the cricket just sang and played around in the whole summer and did no work, therefore he didn't get time to collect food and doesn't deserve it since he did not work hard enough to get it.

I agree with the ants decision because reward comes with hard work.
