An electric cell has two terminals; one is called positive (+ ve) while the other is negative (– ve). An electric bulb hasa filament that is connected to itsterminals. An electric bulb glows when electric current passes through it.

Bulb have two terminals, because an electrical circuit is a closed loop & current has to flow through things to make them work.

❖ An electric cell has two terminals:-
♦ Positive (+ ve)
♦ Negative (– ve)

❖ An electric bulb glows when electric current passes through it.

❖ By connecting electricity to each terminal, a current is allowed to flow through it & produce light.

❖ The filament is glowing white-hot because of the energy it is dissipating & thus giving off light.
