Answer:

The chemical reaction of the iron nail with copper sulphate solution in water. Iron displaces copper ions from an aqueous solution of copper sulphate. ... Thus iron is more reactive than copper. In this reaction, metallic iron is converted into ferrous ion (Fe2+) and cupric ion (Cu2 +) is converted into metallic copper.

Answer:

When the iron nail is dipped:-

Then , the blue colour of copper sulphate changes to green colour.

This is because iron is more reactive than copper.

So the iron displaces out copper.

Also we can see that earlier Iron nail was silver in color.

The following shows the reaction taken as:-

CuSO4 +Fe ==> FeSO4 + Cu

CuSO4 is copper Sulphate

Fe is Iron commonly called Ferrous

FeSO4 is Iron sulphate

And also , Cu is copper.

The change in colour takes place from blue to green.

The Iron nail colour changes from silver to red.
